Hi Chris

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve played your fine Galaxie IV guitar at my last few gigs and I’m loving it. As you know, Chris B turned me on to a pink model (check out some of sounds and sights of me in action with said guitar up on my website–there’s a link to the WXPN festival page) and it feels great.

I’ll be taking the guitar out on tour in the next few months and spreading the word. Congrats on a fine fine tool for music making

take care

Steve

Testimonial from Nashville pro Bruce Gaitsch…Bacchus:

Hey Chris,
Nice chatting with you today.
Hey man, I love this guitar (balck Bacchus with no F holes).
It even sounds great unplugged…
and it plays great, the neck seems longer than normal and I love the access to the upper register.
Totally digging the tonal combinations.
I am going to use this guitar a lot with my band The Emotional Rex…Kelly Keagy from Nightranger is the drummer singer, George Hawkins Jr on bass, me and a kid guitarist named Jon Conley who is gonna shit himself over my new guitar.
I am also going to use it on my Peter Cetera gigs.
Most of the time we do unplugged with orchestra and I use my McPhersons. But we do play live with the rock band version every once in a while and this is the perfect guitar for that.
In August we play Atlanta with the band…can’t wait to use it live.
Thanks again for the great discount and incredible workmanship.
It’s really kinda perfect..in every way.
Ciao
Bruce
PS.When we rehearse with Peter I’ll get you a photo.

Tracii — Ph.D. USA writes: A I’ve said, this one makes #50 in my personal arsenal, and it is definitely Top 10. I can’t really rank my guitars beyond that, too hard. I like different guitars for different reasons. But the DiPinto, besides being probably the flashiest guitar I own, just has a bell-like tone when played clean, and dirties up nicely, plays like a $1000 guitar, and feels natural to play. Most importantly, I found it’s voice very quickly. I always think this sounds silly when I try to describe this to non-guitarists, but maybe you’ll get what I’m talking about – for me I interact with each guitar a little differently – each one pulls a little different playing out of me. When I pick up my les Paul, I find myself leaning more towards Jimmy Page or Joe Perry-esqe riffing, my Strats bring out more Stevie/Eric. Some guitars take awhile for me to really feel like they have their own voice. For instance, I bought a B.C. Rich Warlock Pro about 6 months ago on a whim. Well-crafted guitar (not one of the cheaper lines), sounds great, easy action, but I pick it up and am not inspired at all. Perhaps if I’d listened to more WASP or speed metal in my youth! Anyway, the DiPinto pulled something a little different from me than any of my other guitars almost as soon as I got it home. Well, thanks for responding. Hope you can find one of those covers. It really would be a nice improvement to an already outstanding piece of art. I’m getting ready to head up to South Bend Indiana to watch the Superbowl with 2 of my best friends in the world. Both of them play, so I’m taking the DiPinto up for a good-old jam session. Take care and congratulations on developing a remarkable instrument. I wish you great success with these in the future. It seems like it would be very difficult to be successful in the industry trying to nudge your way in at the big boys tablek but you definitely have a worthy instrument. Hopefully recognition of that fact will continue to grow until DiPinto is a name guitarists recognize instantly. Tracii — Ph.D. USA

Pepe from Spain writes: Already I have the guitar Chris. It is precious(beautiful) and sounds very powerfully, is a RUMBLE. I am charmed with it. thank you for everything. -Pepe from Spain

Spencer (of Dan Guitars): The bass arrived this afternoon, and I couldn’t be more pleased! Pictures just don’t do it justice–it’s a work of art, seemingly wrought by benevolent spacemen, and beamed down to the Worthy… seriously, I’mknocked out by its lines, the quasi-Epi feel of the neck, and all those sparklies! The packaging was indeed nuke-resistant, and it survived government scrutiny and delivery gorillas with nary a whimper…the cat went immediately to sleep on the gig bag (a good omen) as I fired her up–oh, by the way, the setup was near-perfect right out of the box–even in tune! Then, there’s that sound…Hofner to Mosrite, and anything between; it just flat-out kills… Spencer, thank you and Chris et.al., for making this wait so very worthwhile, and for your input and updates–more business with both you and DiPinto is guaranteed! Have a wonderful weekend! — Chrisso A customer of Dan Guitars, a DiPinto Retailer.

Uncle B writes: My Galaxie bass is one of my favorites. I own several bass guitars but there are only three of them that go with on stage : my Fender Jazzbass, my Telecaster bass and my Dipinto. Thanks Chris, for making one of the best basses around, Uncle B, bassplayer for PV and The Heartbeats

Ronnie Lake writes:   Hello Chris, I dont know if you remember me but i have written you before. I received an email on my myspace website from a man in florida who has a band called the Novarays asking me about your guitars. I thought you would be interested in what he asked and my response so i copied it and pasted it to this email. I have a lot of people asking me what my guitar is and i always tell them the same thing, “it’s a DIPINTO…I LOVE IT!” I opened for Dick Dale in the spring of 05 and Dick saw my guitar and told me he has Dipinto also. I hope to get another one as a backup when i can afford it or find a good deal on one. Check out my website and you can see video clips of me playing my Dipinto. Thanks for a great guitar Ronnie Lake and on MySpace

And Ronnie writes more:   First off i’ll tell you i’m a gearaholic….I’m looking for a 12 step program to cure me of this ailment! I have numerous guitars. a reissue fender jaguar, yamaha sgv800, 66 fender mustang, fender cyclone, a couple of strats and a few more i can’t think of right now. With all these guitars it seems i would be playing them rather than a inexpensive korean made guitar! but i would highly recommend this guitar. I love it! it’s the one i always go back to. It’s dependable and sounds great. It’s brighter sounding than a strat so maybe this is why it makes a great surf guitar. I havent had problems at all with tuning. As a matter of fact my dog has tripped over the cord when it’s been on the stand and it came crashing down to the ground and it was still in tune when i picked it up. This has happened more than once gahhh!!!! The Bridge is similar to a rickenbacher. I didnt like the metal saddles so i custom made some saddles with some graphtech material. The fretboard is more flat than a fender. It’s a rather heavy guitar. Probably the heaviest guitar i own but worth carrying it through a gig since it is my most favorite guitar. I’ve thought of buying another as a backup. It’s nice because you have an infinite number of tones with 4 pickups. and the added bonus is, people will come up to you and ask “what kind of guitar is that???” Another thing is, it’s the guitar of the Los Straitjackets. Can’t get much better than that. I bought my guitar online from Music123 for $300 -350 something like that and that included free shipping. it was an open box so it was on a special deal. Its seems like they often have deals like that. It came with a real nice gig bag they even included a cheap cord. Maybe i should write Chris Dipinto and tell him i’m promoting his guitars so he gives me a deal or posts my picture on his site hehehe It’s a great bargain for what the cost is. I hope this helps you a bit Ronnie Lake and on MySpace
