DiPinto Belvedere bass made in 1998. This bass was made while collaborating with Jamaaladeen Tacuma on his second handmade DiPinto Bass. The idea was to make a deeper body than his previous bass. Jamaal owns a similar bass to this except his has an EMG P-bass pickup and a trapeze tailpiece. The pickup on this bass is an old Dimarzio p-bass pickup with a handmade chrome cover. This prototype bass was used at guitar shows and trade shows and shows some wear
I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve gotten word that there’s an article about Jamaal in the newest issue of Bass Player (I’d guess it’s the July issue, they haven’t updated their website yet)
