DiPinto Guitars has created a new guitar for Rick Nielsen, the lead guitarist of the classic power pop/rock band CHEAP TRICK; a DiPINTO BELVEDERE Jr. with a graphic of late night TV host, STEVEN COLBERT on the front!
Rick Nielsen and Chris DiPinto, owner of DiPinto Guitars, have worked together in the past. When it came time to make another guitar for Rick, Chris wanted to make something that fit the quiver of wild axes that Rick tours with.
I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve gotten word that there’s an article about Jamaal in the newest issue of Bass Player (I’d guess it’s the July issue, they haven’t updated their website yet)

Dick Dale invented surf music in the 1950′s. Not the ’60′s as is commonly believed. He was given the title “King of the Surf Guitar” by his fellow surfers with whom he surfed with from sun-up to sun-down.
