About the Artist"I Want You to Want Me" is a song by Cheap Trick, originally recorded in 1977 for their album In Color, though the version from the band's 1978 album At Budokan subsequently became better known than the original. The song's lyrics and music were written by Rick Nielsen. It reached the top 10 on the U.S. charts. The song was also a megahit in the UK and the rest of Europe. Cheap Trick also performed a cover version of Big Star's "In the Street" as the theme song for That '70s Show from the second season onward and the theme song "Baby Muggles" for The Colbert Report.
