| About the Artist | Phil Lewis is a British born vocalist for the American glam metal band named L.A. Guns. He was born on January 9, 1957 in London, England. Prior to joining L.A. Guns Lewis also worked with Girl (which also featured Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, except near the end of Girl), New Torpedos, and Tormé. While temporarily out of L.A. Guns, he sang for the bands Filthy Lucre and the Liberators. Lewis dated model and actress Britt Ekland. He also guested on the Sheer Greed song "Everybody Wants" on their Sublime To The Ridiculous album. He has two solo albums titled El Niño and More Purple Than Black. Although aged 53, Lewis spends his spare time arguing with ex-fans on the popular glam rock website Metal Sludge, under the username Al Snug. |
