Dick Dale invented surf music in the 1950's. Not the '60's as is commonly believed. He was given the title "King of the Surf Guitar" by his fellow surfers with whom he surfed with from sun-up to sun-down. Dick Dale is best known for writing the ultimate Surf guitar song "Miserlou" back in 1962 which was also used in the soundtrack of the movie Pulp Fiction. Nowadays the Godfather of Surf is still touring worldwide with his band and is still pleasing millions of fans. |
